Tradition is defined as a belief or behavior passed down within a group or society with symbolic meaning or special significance with origins in the past. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Saline County is a tradition that runs deep in our community. For 54 years we have seen grandparents, parents, and their children become a part of the Club family. Generations of families continue to walk through our doors because they know and trust the meaning of this tradition. This story is about one person who has kept the beliefs and behaviors of the Club alive through his tradition at the Club for 25 years. Thank you Heath Massey for your years of dedication and love.

For children facing challenges, it often takes just one simple step to change their lives. We are often reminded that sometimes, a single meaningful gift can make all the difference: One caring mentor to guide them through life’s highs and lows. Cedar Mountain Club's 7th Annual Spring Gala Pledge Moment Video 2023 We are all part of the opportunity equation for America’s youth, most importantly the ones who live right here in Hot Springs Village. Getting to a great future takes belief, action, and a lot of support. Are you with us? You + The Club=Great Futures. Each one of our kids has a chance, a chance to be like Denzel Washington or the next Michael Jordan. The last couple of years have been a time of unprecedented challenges for us all and particularly for many of the families in our communities. However, our organization is committed to always being there for the families we serve, especially the children who need us most, and walk alongside them through whatever challenges they face. Justin Moore’s Night to be WANTED was an amazing evening filled with friends, fundraising, and fellowship. With the help of our incredible sponsors, tables hosts, folks that purchased tickets, and of course the star studded music line-up, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Saline County was able to raise over $185,000. Over the years, this event has had many names. Justin Moore’s Night to be GREAT, Justin Moore’s Night to BECOME, etc. This year was Justin Moore’s Night to be WANTED. The theme fit our outlaw country crew that entertained us – but it also fits the way we see each and every one of our Club members. WANTED. VALUED. LOVED. A different kind of wanted, even for those kids who might have rebel phases, or “outlaw” labels put on them. They are WANTED here. They have a place here. And because of the generosity of this community, the Club has been able to serve Saline County’s youth for 53 years. Kids are labeled each day. Some are the outlaws and some are the heroes. But at the Club they are all the same. When they step into the boys and girls club something happens, and they know they’re WANTED. Each year the Saline County community has been faithful to support the Club at our Fall Fundraiser featuring Justin Moore. The funds raised from this annual gathering help the Club tremendously. Our kids and parents count on us to offer quality after-school and summer care and we count on YOU to be able to deliver these services. Sadly, due to COVID-19, we cannot gather with the Club's closest friends and supporters in the gym with Justin Moore during this time.
