Art, Tech, and Play!

Welcome, to the Boys and Girls Club of Saline County. Here at the boys and girls club it’s full of happy children and bright smiles.

There’s so much to do and so many activities, these include: cooking classes, tech, and art. In all of these classes the children discover ways to fulfill their dreams or find ways they could start their future careers.

The art room is one of the many things you get to look forward to during rotations. They make sure everyone is included in the activity and you get to make some awesome and very interesting things.

While in the art room there is plenty if things to do. For example, on Friday we do cooking and Mondays board games. Last week we got to draw our favorite thing to do in the summer on the teen side. But on the little kids side they got to make some hats.

Who doesn't love the tech lab? In the tech lab they teach you how to code, write a newsletter, play educational games, and work on a stop motion movie. We have a green screen where we work on stop motion movies using legos.

We look at how big and crazy the internet can be. On some Fridays we look at NetSmartz and learn about internet safety, last week we looked at cyber-bullying and got to make anti-bullying posters which was very fun!

In the game room we have pool, card games, and board games. You can hang out with your friends and you can do fun pool tournaments. Listening to music, dancing, talking to and getting to know the staff is one of the best parts of the game room.

On one of the three pool tables there is sometimes a pool tournament, and the winner gets a cool prize. Playing one of the board games is a great way to get to know new people.
